Chelsea Wilson is a BC born and raised artist. She obtained a BFA from the University of Lethbridge, specializing in painting. She is most known for her series of woven paintings she created after ripping up everything she painted in art school. During the pandemic she re-connected with a childhood love of cross stitch and it has been her focus ever since. Chelsea stitches large wall pieces as well as small handheld objects. She believes that every aspect of life should have a little art in it, like her cross stitched compact mirrors. Through her focus on sustainability and slow art practices, she infuses a traditional craft medium with bold abstract new patterns and ideas.
