Masha Weisberg, originating from Ukraine and currently based in Vancouver, BC, is a visual artist using photography as her main medium. Her practice is distinguished by traditional analog techniques and historical photo processes, which she uses to explore and reinterpret the conventional roles of objects within visual spaces.

In the wake of the 2022 invasion of Ukraine, Weisberg's focus shifted mainly towards articulating the experience of ongoing trauma, capturing the complexity of emotional stasis and resilience engaging with themes of memory, identity, and sense of belonging. By embracing analogue processes, Masha not only pays homage to the foundational elements of photography but also uses them as a tool for storytelling, reflecting on personal and collective experiences of adversity and endurance.
